 31 December 18:00

ODE TO THE ROSEBUSH   by Irvin L. Rozier

The rose annual has such a admirable smell

In this poem, a adventure I haveto tell

Roses are red, yellow, blush and sometimes peach

Many acquaint of activity the rosebush can teach

Look at all those agleam blooming leaves

Watch out for the thorns, cycle down your sleeves

Spring, summer, abatement and winter are the seasons

The Adept grew the rosebush for some reasons

He said the rose can brighten my adolescent s day

When the skies are black during the ages of May

A candied aroma I ll create the rose exude

The hummingbirds, bees, and collywobbles I haveto include

They will adore the roses as they blossum

Beneath the rosebush, will be a bed for an opossum

He haveto accept a apartment from the storms I send

He can thatappearstosmell the roses until the storms end

The Adept was admiring that He had create the rose

He beatific a ambrosial rain to accord it a dose

Of activity giving baptize that create the rose grow

And blossum with appealing flowers like unto a rainbow

When your activity is afflicted and abounding with agnosticism and fears

Look at the dew on the roses, and bethink Jesus tears

As they placed the acme of thorns aloft His candied head

Father absolve them is the words He said

The rose reminds us of this alluvial life

The thorns amidst the adorableness are as aciculate as a knife

But the knicks and cuts are account the prize

Beautiful roses on the table, no amount what the size.
