Chinese numbers

18 June 08:23   The built-in Japanese numbers are mostly acclimated if counting from 1 to 10 and if calculation days. If it is bare to acquaint time, month, beyond number, and in some additional occasions, the arrangement acquired from Chinese is used. The Chinese numbers are aswell acclimated to name digits. It seems that the Chinese calculation is boring demography over the areas area the built-in numbers were initally used. The alone three counters that are still acclimated in the areas Chinese counters accept replaced the built-in ones, are ?, ? and ??. We will see in the next two lessons, which numbers are acclimated for which purposes, for now lets just apprentice them:

    # ?? (?)

    # ? (?)

    # ?? (?)

    # ? (?) or ??

    # ? (?)

    # ?? (?)

    # ?? (?) or ??

    # ?? (?)

    # ??? (?) or ?

    # ??? (?)

Note that there are two readings for 4, 7 and 9. If counting from 1 to 10, use ? and ??, contrarily ?? and ?? readings are preferred. ? account is just a abbreviating of ???, and there is no harder aphorism of which one to adopt in a accurate situation.

To anatomy beyond numbers, up to 99, artlessly put tens first, then ??? (?) and then ones. For example:

    : ??? (??????) - 16

    : ????? (????????) - 24

    : ????? (?????????) - 87

The aforementioned aphorism of basic numbers applies to even beyond numbers, formed with the afterward indicators:

    For example:

    : ????????? (?????????????) - 625 (note that ?? and ??? got accumulated into ????? ; see the next assignment for added info)

    : ??????????? (??????????????????) - 800049 (note how ??? and ?? are put calm to say a hundred thousand)

? is usually alone above-mentioned ?, not ?, ? or ?, so to say one thousand, it is abundant with just ?, but a ten thousand is ??.

There are three means to say 0 in Japanese: ?? (?), ?? and aught (actually accounting in katakana as ??)

Note that on writing, digits (instead of archetypal kanji) are accepting popularity.
